to grant to those who mourn in Zion, to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit, that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
We are to give forth fruit according to our season.
Psalm 1:3
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
We need to understand our season so as to determine the kind of fruits to give forth.
Fruits are seasonal.
We should not be stuck in the past.
We should not be stuck in familiarity.
Let us be flexible to the Holy Spirit so as to help us understand seasons.
This new season will require courage to move on.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
You may have everything.
Money, ideas, talents and even connections, but you still need courage.
Courage is the ability to do something that frightens one.
It is bravery.
It is strength in the face of pain and/or grief.
This year we need this kind of person within every one of us.
The person is called Courage.
The Story of Asa.
Zerah the Ethiopian was a seasoned fighter.
He had one million soldiers.
Asa had only 580.
He prayed, and God answered.
He still needed courage to manage his success.
Courage is not just for the answer.
Courage is needed to handle your answer in the midst of opposition.
Courage is necessary for success management.
The word of God came to Asa after the victory.
Many people are vulnerable in their success.
God helped Asa but also wanted a deeper relationship with Asa.
It takes courage to maintain your walk with God.
When Asa received the Word, he realised there was more required of him.
The Enemy Within.
The courage Asa received was not about fighting Zerah.
It was about straightening something within the Kingdom.
Satan is not your biggest problem.
You may be the problem for yourself.
Sometimes a church’s main problems are policies, programmes and philosophies.
Courage is required to change these so as to flow with the Holy Spirit.
Resolutions.
It is not enough to make resolutions.
Following through is the challenge.
There are structures within you that need straightening.
Receive courage today to face anything and everything within you that is against the word.
Remember that it is God who works in you both to will and to do according to his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13
For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
